“As we already witness the damage of the climate crisis, delivering our mission has never been more urgent. It's time to come together to build a decarbonised future that adds value for all. It's time to turn intent into impact.
At the Carbon Trust, we act as a bridge between businesses, governments and financial institutions, empowering collaboration to drive systemic change.
Whether we're measuring the carbon footprint of the food on our tables or accelerating the route to market for offshore wind, we deliver impact by supporting our partners and clients to succeed. Now we need to challenge ourselves and double down on this mission. Together, we can close in on our common goal: Net Zero.”
- Tom Delay, CEO The Carbon Trust

Pushing the frontiers of decarbonisation globally
We've been climate pioneers for 20 years, setting some of the standards that drive today’s climate action.
Being a climate pioneer means:
- We provide first of a kind support to our partners and clients, offering them the specialist expertise they need on their decarbonisation journey.
- We catalyse systemic change, working across governments, businesses and financial institutions to unlock collective innovation.
Our governance
As an organisation driven by impact, we have members and not shareholders. Having no shareholders means that we do not pay any distributions in the form of dividends. Instead, all our profits are invested back into our mission.
